Selects Get Revenge On Preds

Selects vs. Predators

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

The Selects jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead and never looked back Tuesday night, earning a season split with their divisional rivals, the Predators, with an 11-3 win. With the victory, the Selects overtake the Preds for second place in the hotly-contested Black Division for the time being.

Though their 11-run performance was buoyed by an off night defensively from their opponents, the Selects' offense was led by Kevin Ryrie (2-3, BB, RBI, 3 runs), Jamie Hickling (1-3, BB, SB, RBI, 2 runs), Mike Brown (1-3, BB, SB, 2 runs), and Dan Clark (1-3, 2 RBI, SB, run). Doug Hoffman improved to 3-1 on the year, allowing three runs (one unearned) on six hits, while striking out nine.

The Selects look to extend their winning streak to five games tomorrow night, as they take on the Red Sox in New Dundee.
